I'm a writer from North Carolina and an MFA candidate in Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program.

I write reviews, features and essays on music, film, literature and art. I’ve written features on exhibitions that reevaluated the importance of photography and printmaking, respectively, in Warhol’s and Frankenthaler’s work; traced the development of experimental folk music in North Carolina; considered Ronald Johnson’s influence on modern collage poetry; and written long-form essays on André Gide’s ouevre, Jacques Tati’s filmography and the star-auteur relationship.

I’ve also managed newsletters, produced social media campaigns, edited blogs and written website copy. I hold a B.A. in English from UNC-Chapel Hill. I’m currently working on my first essay collection.
